Description
Gone Fishing 2012 Shelia Kempf
Gone Fishing is one of the most emotional pieces that I've done. It was painted in 2012 in Honor of my Step-Father who passed away in 2011. The original was donated to the Skilled Nursing Facility that took care of him his last few months. The original painting has his name, Henry, painted on the back of the boat.
I had mixed feelings about selling prints of this piece and taking his name off the boat. However, after thinking about it and pondering on the thought I came to the resolution that Henry would be proud and honored for others to share the pleasure of owning a copy of this special painting. Henry was truly one of my biggest fans!
I'm sure that a lot of you reading this have lost someone very dear to you and possibly the man in the boat may remind you of him.
